Project story


The new Primary Care Centre (PCC) facility which will be located within the grounds of Our Ladys Hospital, Navan will provide clinical and office space to accommodate GP services, Primary Care including Dental & Orthodontics, Mental Health, Social Inclusion, Disabilities, TUSLA and the Enhanced Community Care programme

The facility is a response to the strong need to enhance the range of services provided in the community setting particularly through primary care teams and social care networks. The national strategic plan is that Primary Care Centres will safely manage the local population who require only a routine, straightforward level of urgent or planned care being delivered at home or as close as possible. They will also provide a range of services for patients with existing conditions such as diabetes, respiratory, asthmas, cardiovascular, depression and similar conditions.

The Navan scheme is one of a number of schemes being rolled out across the country and will augment the similar private sector driven schemes constructed/planned within larger urban areas.
