This week Duke McCaffrey’s Ireland office welcomed the remarkable team at Human Collective, an Irish fashion company which is considerate of conscious consumerism and carries a powerful message of equality and inclusivity.

Human Collective

Human Collective is not your typical clothing brand; it's a movement that believes in empowering individuals to express their beliefs through what they wear. The ethos of the brand revolves around the idea that clothing should be a medium for advocating equality. Each garment proudly displays an equal "=" symbol, symbolising unwavering support for racial, LGBTQI+, and opportunity equality.

What sets Human Collective apart is its commitment to sustainability. All products are crafted from the softest certified organic cotton (GOTS) and recycled polyester, ensuring a blend of comfort and eco-consciousness.

Human Collective doesn't stop at making stylish and sustainable clothing; they actively contribute to social causes. With every jumper sold, they donate 1% to their charity partners – Sports Against Racism Ireland, LGBT Ireland, and The Irish Youth Foundation. This commitment to philanthropy ensures that their influence extends beyond the world of fashion and contributes to meaningful change in the community.

International Women's Day

To mark this year’s International Women's Day (IWD), Conor Buckley, founder of Human Collective, personally delivered some beautiful new DMC gilets to our team. Conor also invited along a female speaker with a focus on mental health. Bethan O'Riordan brought a wealth of expertise as a psychotherapist, her insights added depth to the celebration of IWD, highlighting the importance of mental well-being in the journey towards equality. It was also incredibly poignant to hear Conor talk about his inspirational woman, his mother, Christine Buckley. Christine grew up in one of Ireland’s orphanages, her resilience and her continued activism work inspires Conor’s work with Human Collective.

Human Collective demonstrate that fashion can be a force for good. It's not just about looking good; it's about making a positive impact, one sustainable and equal "=" symbol at a time.
